Bye Bye Donald Sterling. Billionaire Steve Ballmer is now officially the owner of the Los Angeles Clippers.
You may remember when we reported that Shelly Sterling sold the team to Ballmer earlier this summer. Since then Ballmer and Donald Sterling have been tied in legal battles with Sterling refusing to give up the team he’s owned over 3 decades. Well, it seems he lost the battle and he’s officially out.
“I am humbled and honored to be the new owner of the Los Angeles Clippers,” Ballmer said in a statement. “Clipper fans are so amazing. They have remained fiercely loyal to our franchise through some extraordinary times.”
I’ll be interested in seeing what changes are made to the organization, if any.
