Fat Joe announces he’s creating a one-man standup show.
On Friday, the Terror Squad co-founder told TMZ he is taking his talents to the stage. Coming this fall, Joe will be starring in his own one-man show. Joe has recruited Roc Nation and Magic Lemonade to produce and Chris Robinson to direct the event.
The standup will include a special introduction from Dave Chappelle and interviews from Joe’s close friends and family.
Joe told the outlet that he will not hold back on being vulnerable and will speak on a range of things. For example, he said he’s speaking on getting kidnapped in Africa, recording with the Terror Squad collaborator Big Pun and serving jail time in 2013 for tax evasion.
“The world will be getting Fat Joe at his most authentic, vulnerable, and comedic self on that stage,” he said. “I’ve always taken pride in my storytelling, but we’re about to take it to the next level. I’m grateful to Dave Chappelle, Roc Nation, and Magic Lemonade for their support in sharing my story and helping make this one-man show the biggest event ever.”
The show will correspond with Joe’s upcoming memoir “The Book Of Jose,” that’s releasing on November 15th.
