Two Air France pilots have been suspended after getting into an altercation in the middle of a flight.
Back in June of this year, two pilots got to tussling during a flight from Geneva to Paris. Neither of the pilots has been named, and what led to their issue has yet to be detailed, CNN Travel reports.
According to the airline, the two exchanged “inappropriate gestures” with one another, and at one point, other crew members had to step in. The pilots were then separated, with one remaining in the flight deck for the entire trip.
Despite the physical altercation, the passengers and the plane ride were not affected and it was able to land safely. “The incident was quickly resolved without affecting the conduct or safety of the flight, which continued normally,” an airline spokesperson said in a statement, CNN Travel reports.
“The pilots concerned are currently suspended from flying and are awaiting a managerial decision on the outcome/treatment of the incident. Air France reminds that the safety of its customers and crew members is its absolute priority.”
