For some, there is no limit to a quality meal. After all, good food in beautiful settings can be hard to come by. If you’re in the mood for something new or have been looking for a reason to take a trip, let one of these fine dining restaurants be your excuse to pack your bags.Â
We must warn you, however, that to feast at either one of these restaurants, you must be prepared to drop a bag. Though, we promise you won’t regret a dollar of it.Â
Ithaa Undersea – Rangali Island, Maldives
While on vacation to the Maldives, if you and your friends have about $320 to spend a piece, then this underwater restaurant is for you. This unique dining experience features breathtaking panoramic ocean views filled with marine life. It is a small space, only accommodating about 14 guests at a time, which is partially the reason for the large tab per person.
Kitcho Arashiyama – Tokyo, Japan
Authentic Japanese cuisine is definitely worth the money, especially at Kitcho Arashiyama in Tokyo, Japan. This dining experience costs anywhere from $380 to $570 a head, with six locations throughout Japan to choose from. However, the one in Tokyo appears to be the most popular. Enjoy dishes such as Sea Urchin Rice and Conger Eel, made from the freshest ingredients.Â
Bar Masa – New York, United States
Headed by world-renowned chef Masayoshi Takayama, Bar Masa typically costs about $595 per person. While that may be a staggering price for one dinner, this modern Japanese restaurant will give you authentic Japanese dishes without having to travel across the world. Bar Masa focuses on simplicity. No frills in their presentation, only quality meals within a tranquil environment.Â

Per Se – New York, United States
Also located in New York, this bistro is even more expensive than Bar Masa, coming in at around $680 per head. Presentation is everything in Per Se, making every dish Instagram-worthy. Headed by 3-Star Michelin Chef Thomas Keller, these delicate plates are not meant to fill you up, so please plan for a post-dinner meal. However, Per Se wants its guests to appreciate the fine cuisine on each plate.Â
