Krispy Kreme is combining doughnuts and churros for a new treat sure to send fans swarming the famed doughnut shop.
Donned the Churrdough Collection, the entire line consists of three “all-new light, and airy” flavors just in time for the brand’s specialty Fall lineup. These doughnut twists are sold together as a three-pack or can be purchased individually.
The Churrdough’s appeared on Krispy Kreme menus nationwide beginning on September 5th and are already a huge hit thanks to the attention to detail when creating the flavors. The famed doughnut head honcho ensured that the Cookies & Kreme Churrdough was swirling with chocolate cookie cream and topped with chocolate cookie pieces. Obviously, the classic Cinnamon Sugar Churrdough option is what you’d expect from a churro, packed with sugar and salted caramel crunch pieces on top. Lastly, but certainly our favorite, is the Dulce De Leche Churrdough, which is topped with savory cream cheese swirl, cookie pieces, and dulce de leche drizzle.
Churrdoughs are “churro-inspired,” so they do not have that slight crunchiness seen in most churros. However, if you can’t make it to your usual churro spot, Krispy Kreme’s latest innovation is a welcome substitute.
Sadly, the company is only offering the Churrdoughs until September 18th, so time is of the essence. Head over to Krispy Kreme today and try each flavor.
