Metta World Peace, formerly known as Ron Artest, will soon be known as “The Panda’s Friend” according to reports stating that the basketball star has once again changed his name.
The change comes in anticipation of Artest’s new gig playing with the Chinese Basketball Association. He announced earlier this week that he would be coming up with “a new Chinese name” and I guess “The Panda’s Friend” was the best he could do. He also said that the first thing he’ll be doing when he touches down in China is taking his daughter to see the Pandas….so I guess it makes sense. This IS Ron Artest we’re talking about.
