Cardi B is proving that all heroes do not wear capes and donating a hefty amount of money to her former middle school.

The “WAP” rapper was in the neighborhood and made a surprise visit to I.S. 232 in New York City to give back. She donated $100,000 to the school to help financially assist the art department.

The 29-year-old Bronx candid has been very candid about giving back to her community in the Bronx and not forgetting where she comes from.

In the shocked video, students cheer for the hitmaker!

She quoted the tweet mentioning her stopping by to the school. “THANK YOU FOR HAVING ME.”

The “I Like It” rapper also spoke about how she wasn’t the best student during school and wanted to change after her arrest.

“When it was time to go to high school, I wanted to go to a certain school because I always wanted to be an entertainer.”

She continues, “And I didn’t get accepted to the school, and I was upset because some girls that I felt like were less talented than me got accepted to those schools, but the difference was that I wasn’t doing what I was supposed to be doing.”

The large sum of cash is supposed to help “the school’s kids soar to their highest heights,” according to NYC Schools Chancellor David Banks.
