Xscape Share Which New Generation Female Singer They Would Add To Their Group; Tiny Seemingly Confused About Kandi Mentioning Ari Lennox [Video]

Xscape revealed what female singers they would hypothetically add to their group in their latest interview.

R&B singing group Xscape recently sat down with the KDAY Morning Show to discuss their long-standing career and their fourth coming show that the collaborative work with SWV.

During the interview, the show’s host Romeo asked the group about their Verzuz battle with SWV and expanding their fan base. In the midst of that conversation, Romeo proposed a hypothetical question to the ladies about adding another member from the new generation to their group.

Tiny, LaTocha, and Tamika each shared their answers which consisted of Jazmine Sullivan and Summer Walker. However, once Kandi revealed that she would choose Ari Lennox, the conversation became quiet with the roomed filled with an awkward silence.

“I think to go in a different direction, I’ll probably go with Ari,” Kandi said. “Cause she got that range and it’s a different type of distinctive sound, that soul.”

Tiny was seemingly confused by Kandi’s answer and clarified, “Ari..Ari Lennox?” Kandi responded and confirmed that she was speaking about Ari Lennox.

“I mean I haven’t heard her range. I’ve heard her sound,” Tiny says.

Kandi then defends Ari and says “oh she has range. Her vocals are like pretty dope.”

Elsewhere in the interview, the members gave some details on what fans can expect from their upcoming show with SWV.

“We tried to do something different this time around,” Kandi said. “We wanted to have like with Verzuz, I guess it inspired something for us to come together in a major way. To like be able to put our shows together and not just us performing on the same show but actually merging the two performances together into one performance.”
