Shaq Says He’s Staying Away From Commenting on Celtic Coach Ime Udoka’s “Improper Relationship” Scandal Because He “Was a Serial Cheater” Himself

Shaquille O’Neal is keeping quiet on the most recent NBA scandal involving Celtics coach Ime Udoka.

As you may know, Udoka was recently suspended for the 2022-23 season after having an “improper relationship” with a female staffer while being engaged to actress Nia Long.

Instead of criticizing Udoka, O’Neal has said that he has no room to judge since he was a serial cheater.

“I am going to step down from this conversation. I was a serial cheater,” he said on The Big Podcast With Shaq. “It would be crazy and blasphemous for me to get up here and say, ‘Boom, boom, bam.’ I can’t do that. I know these guys personally. I know they’re going through a lot because I went through a lot.”

The NBA star acknowledged that he was to blame for the demise of his marriage back in April. Between 2002 and 2011, O’Neal was married to Shaunie Henderson, with whom he has four children.

According to Shaq, it would be wrong for him to weigh in on the situation from a condemnatory standpoint.
“I just wish that certain parties weren’t involved. I’ve known Nia Long for a long time, and I like her,” he said. “They’re going through a lot of family stuff. I’m never the guy that’s gonna get up here because of my platform and fake it. I did it. I was the best at it and not proud of it at all. I lost my family doing it. I lost valuable, important years of my children from doing it. I’m not that guy. I’m real with the situation.”
