Rapper Coolio has passed away in Los Angeles, according to TMZ.
According to the publication, the 90’s rapper was visiting a friend Wednesday afternoon when he passed. The rapper’s longtime manager reported that Coolio went to the restroom at the friend’s home and when he didn’t come out, they eventually went in to check on him. The rapper was found lying on the floor.
TMZ reports that paramedics pronounced the rapper dead on the scene. Coolio’s manager states that paramedics suspect that he suffered from cardiac arrest.
An official cause of death has not been determined.
Coolio whose real name is Artis Leon Ivey Jr. hit success nationally in 1995 with his hit record “Gangsta Paradise” for the Dangerous Minds soundtrack.
