McDonald’s is making sure trick-or-treaters have somewhere to store their goodies by bringing back its popular Halloween Pails this month.
On Thursday, the fast food chain announced that it would be bringing back the ghostly buckets on October 18th. Kids will have the option to choose between the McBoo, McPunk’n, and McGoblin pails at participating restaurants nationwide. McDonald’s will be selling the buckets all the way up to the spooky holiday, with the last day to purchase one being October 31st.
The pails debuted in 1986 and were an instant hit. They returned to the Golden Arches on and off throughout the years. However, they haven’t been seen by customers in six years. Thanks to social media, fans of the pails were able to express their love for them by showcasing how they’ve used them over the years. The outpouring of love caused the company to restock them.
“Guess who’s coming back,” the company tweeted with a photo of the orange, white and green pails.

There is no word on whether or not the pails will be back next year, so do not drag your feet grabbing one for your little person. If you are childless, no sweat. You can still pick up a Halloween Pail to spruce up your plants, organize your makeup, or take with you adult trick or treating.
