50 Cent’s oldest son Marquise Jackson is going in on his father for not providing him with the funds to sustain his NYC lifestyle.
Marquise went on Instagram Live with entrepreneur and former rapper Choke No Joke to express his annoyance with his father and his child support payments.
The younger Jackson told Choke No Joke that 50 Cent’s $6700 monthly payment was insufficient to support the lifestyle he claimed to require.
“$6700 a month in the state of New York City, you do the math,” Marquise told Choke. “You’re talking about a Forbes lister, you’re talking about someone that has problems with everybody, you can’t just live in any neighborhood, $81,000 is not a substantial amount of money. You can’t just live anywhere. You talking about you got beef with everybody in the industry, you can’t just live anywhere.”
According to Choke, if Fif was paying $6,700 a month and Marquise’s mother, Shaniqua Tompkins, was paying the other half of $7,200, his monthly payments should be $13,400.
He stated that it was up to Tompkins to care for her child while working, so it is not just 50 Cent’s job to take care of Marquise. However, Marquise persisted in claiming that the money he received from 50 wasn’t enough.
“If I told you right now you gotta start your life over right now with $6700 a month and rebuild your life can you do it,” Marquise asked, which Choke wasted no time saying he could. “Choke, you gotta stop comparing it. You compare it to yourself, bro. You’re comparing it to your standard of lifestyle. You can’t do that.”
Marquise added: “I know what it feels like to have nothing, alright. I had to rebuild my life over with $6700 a month. $81,000 a year.”
In 2017, 50 Cent finished paying his child support payments, and he made the news public on social media.
According to reports, the conflict between 50 Cent and his son is related to his separation from Marquise Tompkins’ mother, Shaniqua Tompkins.
