Top 5 Hidden Gems in the USA To Visit This Summer

It’s almost that time of year when millions travel for the holidays. Airports will inevitably be chaotic, so it’s best to use some travel tips to alleviate the stress and make it a comfortable experience.

Pack logically. Like Erykah Badu said, “You can’t hurry up ’cause you got too much stuff.” Baggage can weigh you down, especially if you’re not checking it. Oh, and if you are checking a bag, unless it’s eccentric in style, tag your bag with a sticker or ribbon to make it easier to pick out when it’s on the belt.

Take an Uber or Lyft to the airport. Parking at the airport during the holiday can be a total mess, coupled with being costly. But if you must drive, take a pic of the lot and space you parked your car.

Check-in in advance. Ticket lines can be long, but thanks to technology, those paper tickets can be a thing of the past. You can check in 24 hours before the flight departs, bypassing the check-in lines. Instead of printing out the ticket, download it to your mobile device, and you’re good to go through security.

TSA Pre-check also helps speed up the process, and not everyone has it.  It allows you to skip the general security line and go through the faster TSA Precheck line–where you don’t have to take off your shoes or electronics from your suitcase. When traveling internationally, you can use Global Entry to go through an expedited customs line upon returning to the US.

Not everyone has the luxury of having a non-stop flight, so for those that don’t, arrange some time in between connecting flights just in case there is a delay on the first leg. It also gives you time to grab some food

Wear socks and comfortable clothes that have pockets. Most of the time, airports require passengers to remove their shoes, which goes without saying why you should wear socks. And pockets help a ton when traveling.

Another suggestion is to bring your own snacks. You never know when hunger will hit. It sucks being on a plane, hungry with nothing to eat. Plus, the cost of airport snacks and food is jacked up.

Hope these tips help!
