On Tuesday, producers of “The Shop” said they were pulling Kanye West’s episode following “hate speech and extremely dangerous stereotypes” he used during the taping.

Ye’s Twitter and Instagram accounts were also restricted after he made antisemitic comments on both platforms, resulting in the episode being canceled.
Maverick Carter, the CEO of SpringHill Company, said that Ye had been scheduled for the episode of “The Shop” weeks prior. Carter also produces “The Shop” as part of the Uninterrupted series on YouTube with NBA superstar LeBron James.
“After talking to Kanye directly the day before we taped, I believed he was capable of a respectful discussion, and he was ready to address all his recent comments,” Carter said.

“Unfortunately, he used The Shop to reiterate more hate speech and extremely dangerous stereotypes,” he said.

Carter claimed that following the taping, the producers decided not to air the episode or “any of Kanye’s remarks.”

“While The Shop embraces thoughtful discourse and differing opinions, we have zero tolerance for hate speech of any kind and will never allow our channels to be used to promote hate,” he said.

“I take full responsibility for believing Kanye wanted a different conversation and apologize to our guests and crew. Hate speech should never have an audience,” Carter added.

According to reports, James was not on set or present when the incident occurred.
