Ginuwine was recently hospitalized after participating in a magic stunt gone wrong.
The incident occurred earlier this week as the singer rehearsed for the CW’s Magic With The Stars with magician Criss Angel. However, things took a turn for the worst when Ginuwine lost consciousness.
Video footage obtained by The Daily Mail showed the singer holding his breath while submerged underwater in a glass cube before slamming the sides to signal his distress.
Surrounding staff members immediately pulled Ginuwine out of the box and attempted to calm him down before he fell unconscious.
A source at the scene said the singer was taken to a hospital but later made a full recovery.
“It all happened so fast; it was like he got tapped out in a fight,” the source said. “In the show, he was trying to overcome his fear of being underwater as he couldn’t hold his breath for longer than 15 seconds before trying the stunt out.”
“Although he failed in rehearsals. He still went ahead with the stunt on the show, and everyone was in tears,” the source continued.
The upcoming series will premiere on October 22nd and features celebrities training with Angel to create magical performances in Las Vegas.
