Ice Cube wants everyone to keep his name out of their mouths, especially with regard to Kanye West.

On Tuesday, the “Today Was A Good Day” rapper took to Twitter to address West’s now-infamous interview with Drink Champs, in which Ye shared a slew of controversial thoughts and anti-Semitic opinions.

“I hate that my name was dragged into this Drunk Champs bullshit,” Cube wrote. “I don’t know what Ye meant by his statements, you’re gonna have to ask him. I didn’t put the batteries in his back.”

During the episode, which has since been removed, the Yeezus rapper claimed that Cube “really influenced” him to “get on this antisemite vibe,” adding that “and I’m here to finish to the job.”

“Please leave my name out of all the antisemitic talk,” Cube continued. “I’m not antisemitic and never have been.”

Elsewhere in the episode, ‘Ye went on to slam the “Jewish Media,” leftist politics, and other public figures before spewing falsities about George Floyd’s murder, which in turn, resulted in a lawsuit against West and the removal of the episode.

In a statement about the removal, a rep for the Revolt told Complex the video was taken over the “false and hurtful information regarding the circumstances surrounding the murder of George Floyd.”
