Let’s Make a Deal host Wayne Brady is on his way to having another hosting gig, the 2022 American Music Awards.
The tv host who’s currently competing on Dancing with the Stars will take ABC’s network center stage on Sunday, November 20. The awards show will air the following day on Hulu.
“I’m ecstatic and honored to host this year’s AMAs. As a musician and music lover, it’s amazing to be part of a night where music fans make their voices heard,” Brady said. “It’s a big show, so I’m bringing it all…The funny, the music, and the moves!”
Brady isn’t the first comedian to host the AMAs and actually follows an impressive list of comedians hosting, including Cedric the Entertainer, Jimmy Kimmel, Eddie Murphy, Tracee Ellis Ross, and more.
An executive producer is also just as “ecstatic” to have Brady be this year’s host.
“Wayne Brady is undoubtedly one of the most talented people on earth, and we are thrilled to have him host this year’s AMAs. Viewers should expect an incredible night of music, comedy, and fun!”
Top nominees for this year’s award show include Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Bad Bunny, Adele, Drake, and more. This year’s eligibility to be nominated was from September 24, 2021-September 22, 2022.
