A man named in the YSL RICO indictment has been convicted of murder in an unrelated case.
22-year-old Jayden Myrick, who has ties to Young Thug’s YSL collective, has been found guilty after robbing and killing a wedding guest outside of an Atlanta country club.
On Thursday, Jayden received the verdict from a Fulton County judge, who found him guilty of multiple felony counts, including murder, armed robbery, aggravated battery, aggravated assault, and criminal gang activity. He was sentenced to life in prison without parole.
The incident took place in July 2018 when Christian Broder was shot outside the Capital City Country Club in Atlanta.
Broder, a DC restaurant manager had traveled to Georgia for a wedding. According to prosecutors, Broder and his family were waiting on an Uber when Jayden, along with three other men, pulled up and robbed them. Â The 34-year-old father tried to reason with Jayden, who was 17 at the time, and his crew, but he was ultimately shot in the stomach.
Broder passed away two weeks following the incident after succumbing to his injuries.
During the trial, Myrick also opened up about his gang affiliations and association with YSL. He, too, was named in the 56-count RICO indictment along with Thug, Gunna, and other YSL associates, a case that is separate from the Broder charges.
