By now, we are well into summer. We are showing how hard work pays off through intense gym exercises (squats anyone?), showing how we have “transitioned” from relaxed to natural or celebrating a new promotion, house or new car. Someone, somewhere is looking at your photos or status updates like, “She is moving on, let me tell her I miss her.” I’m here to tell you – they always come back.
Somewhere along the July 4th weekend or the first official day of summer you received the dreaded, “I miss you text.” Many who are on to this summertime game may chill and wait for official cuffing season to start (September through June). This is all well and good but what do you do from there? You may think this person is the one that got away or you might be hip to all the games and choose to ignore them.
Sure, this could be a total coincidence, but, in the event it isn’t how do you deal when your inconsistent boo decides to make a reoccurring cameo into your life?
Do your research: Between Instagram and Facebook, you can kind of figure out whether your inconsistent boo is finally turning over a new leaf and is getting their life together. Red flag: if their status says in a relationship – run! Do not, I repeat do not play second to anyone.
Ignore Them: You are simply fed up with the games and know for a fact the story has not changed.
Hear them Out: We all deserve a second chance, right? Meet up with him or her face to face in person or virtually and talk about it. No matter how the conversation goes, it is a chance to hash out old issues and completely move on or wipe the slate clean and start over!
Forgive and Forget: It’s not about being thirsty, life is too short hold grudges – right? Kiss and make up with your boo and keep it moving. Who knows when this opportunity will come again!
