Drake x 21 Savage Vogue Cover

Vogue is suing Drake and 21 Savage over a fake magazine cover used to promote their new album, Her Loss.

According to documents obtained by TMZ, the publication alleges that the rappers had fans believe there would be a special edition magazine dropping soon.

“Me and my brother on newsstands tomorrow,” Drake posted to Instagram prior to the album’s release.  “Thanks, @voguemagazine, and Anna Wintour, for the love and support on this historic moment, Her Loss Nov 4th.”

Now, the magazine’s owner, Condé Nast, is saying that the publication never “endorsed” the album “in any way” and requested that the rappers remove any promo that includes the Vogue name.

In addition to asking the court to stop the duo from using the Vogue name immediately, Condé Nast is seeking $4 million in damages.
Rolling Stone journalist Simon Vozick-Levinson was the first to reveal cover was just promo, tweeting, “A street teamer just handed me a copy of this.  It’s not a real magazine – it’s a photoshopped version of Vogue’s October issue with a bunch of promo art for 21 and Drake’s new album.  Pretty funny stunt.”
In addition to the fake Vogue cover, 21 and Drake promoted their new album with a fake Tiny Desk concert, a fake SNL performance in addition to an obscene Howard Stern interview, where they discussed their porn preferences. Just yesterday, the duo dropped a fake COLORS Studios performance.
