At this point, Flav became irritated and exchanged heated words with a Spirit employee. TMZ was able to obtained footage of the incident.
The video shows Flav and the employee yelling back and forth to each other. At one point, another man intervened to plead Flav’s case. The woman threatened to call security but luckily for Flav, she did not.
Sources close to the rapper says he often boards after everyone else because fans want to take pictures with him, and he doesn’t want to stall the lines.
They also claims the gate agent reopen the door to let other passengers in but closed it again on Flav and two others.
Flav later apologized to fans who had to witness his behavior but made it clear he was not apologizing to Spirit Airlines or the employee.
“Spirit Airlines shut the door on me while I was in line to board, I was upset and said some harsh words to the gate agent. I apologize to those who witnessed me acting out of character. I do not apologize to Spirit Airlines or the gate agent,” he tells TMZ.
