After initially slamming his former business partner, Kanye West is now standing beside Balenciaga after the backlash following their latest campaign.Â
The fashion house faced a mountain of scrutiny following its photo shoot, which featured children holding bondage teddy bears. Initially, West slammed the brand that ended its partnership with him weeks ago.Â
“This just shows you all celebrities are controlled. You don’t see no celebrities talking about the Balenciaga situation,” West told TMZ shortly after the campaign hit the internet.Â
Now, it appears that the unhinged super producer turned presidential candidate has had a change of heart. During Thursday night’s explosive Twitter rant, Ye shared an image of himself dressed in all black, rocking a baseball cap that read “2023.”Â
“Never turn our backs. Demna and the Balenciaga family for life. Cancel cancel culture. Jesus, please heal,” he wrote in the odd tweet.Â
He also tweeted, “God loves Balenciaga,” and said he was praying for the “innocent artists and beautiful humans who make clothing that had nothing to do with the ads.”
Balenciaga ended their business relationship with West following his antisemitic comments, which also led to many other brands cutting ties with him. Nevertheless, it appears there may still be hope for the two. Before the rant kicked off, the “Power” star shared an exchange between him and Demna, the creative director for Balenciaga. The two exchanged pleasantries in the messages, though it is unclear where their relationship stands.Â
