NFL quarterback Deshaun Watson returns to the field but did not receive a warm welcome from some fans.
On Sunday, Watson made his debut as the Cleveland Browns quarterback against his former team, the Houston Texans. The 27-year-old return came after he was put on a 11-game suspension for violating the league’s personal conduct policy. Watson was suspended for allegedly engaging in sexual misconduct with several massage therapists.
While some fans were excited to see Watson back on the field, many did not share the same joy.
Before each play Watson threw, he was met with an outpour of boos from the crowd, who clearly disapproved of him. In addition, a few fans booed Watson and the Browns as they jogged onto the field about an hour before kickoff.

One fan walked into the stadium wearing a derogatory shirt in Browns colors that included a message saying “I need a massage.” He was joined by a fan wearing Watson’s No. 4 Browns jersey.
There were fans in the parking lot setting up a fake massage table with a mannequin wearing a red Texans jersey and a towel.
Nevertheless, the quarterback did have some supporters to attend his game. After warming up, Watson signed jerseys for some fans behind the end zone. One man got Watson’s autograph on his Browns jersey and a couple also got his signature on their Texans jerseys.
