A new charge has been filed against Tory Lanez in the Megan Thee Stallion shooting case.
Initially, Lanez was charged with assault with a semiautomatic weapon and having an unregistered firearm in a moving vehicle.
However, as of Tuesday, a felony charge of firing a firearm with gross negligence was added.
According to a Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office rep, “A felony count of discharging a firearm with gross negligence was added to the information.”It’s alleged that “in the commission and attempted commission of the above offense, [Tory Lanez] personally inflicted great bodily injury upon” Megan Thee Stallion.
In the court documents, Lanez is accused of engaging in acts that displayed “great violence, great bodily harm, threat of great bodily harm, and other acts disclosing a high degree of cruelty, viciousness, and callousness.”
As of Monday, Tory was released from house arrest, so he is available for trial preparation.
