Lou Williams Talks Meek Mill’s Jail Time & His Children’s Summer Basketball Camp (Video)

I love to see Ballers do amazing things with their money so when Lou Williams of the Toronto Raptors recently sat down with HHS87 for an interview where he discussed his Children’s Summer Basketball camp in which he completely funds out of his own pocket with no corporate sponsorship, I had to shed a little light on it. 

For the past 10 years, NBA baller Lou Williams conducts a basketball camp each summer at his alma mater, South Gwinnett High School in Snellville, Georgia. The program helps to raise confidence, as well as, offer intense, specialized basketball instruction with an emphasis on the importance of being a team player. Lou.  joined by his middle school and high school coaches and NBA Ballers help in training young children to further their basketball skills. “This marks our 10th anniversary for the camp. It’s home grown. We don’t bring in corporate sponsors,” says Williams, “[I want to] continue to grow as people. I still continue to learn day to day from older cats. I’m hoping 1 or 2 of those kids can take my story and build off of it and turn it into something positive. That’s our goal.”

Lou Williams Annual Summer Skills Camp is from June 14 – 17th each day from 9am-3pm. 

You can check out his interview with HHS87 below where he also discusses his good friend Meek Mill’s jail situation and what advice he would give. “I ain’t never been to jail before so I can’t tell him nothin’ bout that,” says Williams, “My experience with my brother is that he’s a strong dude. He’s always been a solid, stand up cat. He’s gonna do that little time and come right back home. They’re telling us 3-6 months but I think it’s gonna be a lot less than that from what I understand.”
