The man responsible for attacking Dave Chappelle during his show earlier this year has been sentenced to 270 days in jail.
In connection with the May assault on the comedian at the Hollywood Bowl, Isaiah Lee pleaded no contest and was sentenced to 270 days in county jail.
Witnesses surrounding Chappelle quickly defended the comedian, sharing aerial footage showing Lee being transported in an ambulance from the scene.
After his arrest, the LAPD revealed that Lee “produced what was later discovered to be a replica handgun,” which he allegedly pointed at Chappelle.
It was also discovered that the replica gun had a concealed knife blade. Chappelle wasn’t injured during the assault.
