Day four of Tory Lanez‘s shooting trial began Thursday with testimony from the doctor who performed surgery on Megan the Stallion the night of the alleged shooting.
Megan’s former friend Kelsey Harris also returned to the stand following her head-scratching testimony Wednesday.
While on the witness stand, Dr. Lee Hurano confirmed bullet fragments are still in Megan’s foot today, confirming the rap star did get shot.
Testimony then continued with Kelsey on the stand, where she would not agree that Megan was shot, even though she texted about it moments after the incident.
“Her team told me she stepped on glass,” Kelsey said on the stand Thursday, according to NPR reporter Gabby Bulgarelli.
Lawyer for Workers broke down cross-examination on Instagram, where he said before the session broke for lunch Lanez’s attorney George Mgdesyan questioned Harris about whether she was paid off by Tory — she denied it. She also denied being in contact with Tory and his team and said that she had never been pressured by the defense but had been pressured by prosecutors.
LA Times reporter James Queally reported that Harris returned to the stand after lunch, where prosecutors again presented text messages Harris sent following the incident naming Tory as the shooter. She also detailed a physical altercation between her and Tory in text messages that followed. While on the stand, Harris continued with her notion that she sent those texts in a panic or didn’t remember sending them at all.
Queally also reports that DDA Ta tried to go through a process of elimination to get Harris to name Lanez as the shooter. However, she maintained that she only assumed he was the shooter.
