Disgraced movie producer Harvey Weinstein was found guilty Monday of one count of rape and two counts of sexual assault at a Los Angeles trial.
Weinstein was acquitted on one further count of sexual battery and the jury was hung on three other charges.
The 70-year-old, who is already serving a 23-year sentence in New York for rape and sexual assault, was accused by four women, all identified as Jane Does, of assaulting them in hotels between 2004 and 2013.
“It is time for the defendant’s reign of terror to end,” DDA Marlene Martinez said in the prosecution’s closing argument. “It is time for the kingmaker to be brought to justice.”
Weinstein faces up to 24 years in prison when he is sentenced.
