Delta Air Lines is bringing Cuba back. Starting April 10, 2023, flights from Miami to Cuba will resume following a three-year hiatus.

The flights were suspended in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. But coupled with the lift of travel restrictions and the Biden administration’s plans to offer travel between the two countries easier after the Trump administration made severe travel restrictions between them, it will be possible once again.

According to Travel Noire, Delta customers traveling through Miami can choose between  203 weekly nonstop flights departing from 10 U.S. airports.

There will be two daily nonstop flights from Miami International Airport to the José Martí International Airport in Havana, Cuba.

Before 2016, there was a 55-year suspension for Delta to fly to Cuba. But the US carrier acknowledged the high demand and announced in its September quarter 2022 financial results that they are fully committed to restoring its network by next summer.

“The flights will operate on an Airbus A320 aircraft with a choice of First Class, Delta Comfort+, or Main Cabin. First Class customers will enjoy treats and beverages, including unique products from small and diverse brands like Kate’s Real Food Lemon Coconut bars, Thrive Farmers Tea, and Du Nord vodka. Comfort+ and Main Cabin customers will also enjoy a tasty snack like Biscoff cookies,” Delta’s website reads.

Those interested in booking a flight to the country should check the U.S. Embassy website for travel requirements.
