Following allegations that he hit the mother of his child, Gervonta Davis has broken his silence about his arrest for domestic violence charges.
After sharing a statement on Instagram, the boxer claimed his daughter’s mother, Vanessa Posso, smeared poop on his toothbrush.
He then uploaded several pictures to his Instagram story to support his claims.
Since then, his photos and statement have been deleted from his account, but not before users could screenshot and circulate the pictures online.
The poop, he claimed, came from his daughter’s diapers, “the one y’all say I hit,” and was put on his toothbrush by Posso.
Davis claims he can’t be accused of doing it himself because “I was f*cking locked up.”
“I didn’t want to do this,” he said, “but I want to clear my name.” He then added that he had no choice but to share the photos.
In one of the photos, the boxer is seen with spit on his face, while a video shows an altercation in progress. The last photo showed the words “cheater” and “sl*t” written on a bathroom mirror.
Afterward, he shared a picture of his daughter watching a movie.
“Do not let these people misguide you all on this bullsh*t…this was just yesterday, moments before me and my child mother had an argument! Watching frozen with my oldest daughter. I never put my hands on my mother, nor my f*cking daughter are you f*cking cr*zy!!” he wrote.
To further defend his claims, Davis said his daughter’s mother was offered $50k to press charges against him.
“I’m not a monster. I been quiet for too long,” he continued. “I don’t have a media team, pr, good lawyer…spokesman, nothing of that. That’s the only reason I’m doing this now! Just to clear my name!”
After that, he retweeted a tweet made in response to the 911 call by his nutritionist.
“I was stood right there when this call was made,” Elliot Buckling wrote. “The scene doesn’t match the call.”
Davis was scheduled to face Hector Luis Garcia on January 7 in a highly anticipated fight before his arrest. However, Gervonta has said in a now-deleted tweet, “I low-key don’t even want to fight anymore. They can have that sh*t.”
