The father of the Texas TikTok duo, Enkyboys, died of cancer on Wednesday, according to TMZ. A source close to the family told the news outlet that Randy Gonzalez died in hospice at 35 years old.
On April 12, 2022, Gonzalez announced to his Instagram followers that he had been battling colon cancer after being diagnosed six months prior. The influencer shared that his doctor told him that he had only two or three years left to live, noting that chemotherapy would help extend his life expectancy to five years.
Gonzalez also told his followers on TikTok that it’s been a struggle for him and his family but that he’ll “keep fighting.” He also started a GoFundMe to help pay for his cancer treatments.
The TikTok duo consisted of Gonzalez and his son, Brice. The two are known for creating funny, spot-on lip-syncing TikTok videos together, gathering 15 million followers on the app. Since starting their journey in November 2019, the pair gained popularity, appearing on Good Morning America and being featured in multiple media outlets like Yahoo Lifestyle and Buzzfeed.
The duo became even more popular when Brice landed a role in George Lopez’s new show, Lopez V. Lopez. He also landed a role in Eva Longoria’s Flamin’ Hot project.
Gonzalez is survived by his wife, Kimberly, and three children, Brice, Lauren, and Aubree.
