Nicki Minaj and Kenneth Petty are in hot water again after a security guard accused them of assaulting him in 2019.
The lawsuit was filed in January 2022 by a security guard named Thomas Weidenmuller. He claims that while the head of security at Minaj’s March 2019 concert in Frankfurt, Germany, an eager fan was able to make it past him and other barricades. The concert attendee hopped onstage with the “Super Bass” star. She was not hurt, but the incident reportedly angered Minaj and her then-boyfriend, Kenneth Petty. After the performance, Weidenmuller says the couple and their entourage angrily confronted him and a female guard who was also bypassed by the Barb. Minaj allegedly cursed at the female guard and forced her to apologize on camera. Petty then proceeded to punch Weidenmuller in the face, which landed him in the hospital for ten days.
Weidenmuller sustained a broken jaw in the attack at the hands of Petty. After being discharged from the hospital, he could not eat solid foods and underwent eight surgeries on his face. Weidenmuller has been forced to live with plates in his jaw. After the altercation, police did arrive on the site, but no arrests were made. However, Petty still has an active warrant in Frankfurt stemming from the painful punch.
After Minaj’s public feuds with fellow female rappers and Petty’s legal drama stemming from his prior rape conviction, the couple has kept a relatively low profile in recent months. Neither has responded publicly to the suit and likely won’t. Minaj recently purchased a $19 million Hidden Hills mansion amid rumors of a second pregnancy.
Weidenmuller is seeking $753,958.51 in damages.
