Beyonce is officially the Queen of the Grammys. Sunday, the queen Bey became the most-awarded artist in Recording Academy history.
Midway through the telecast, Bey added her 32nd Grammy award to her collection when “Renaissance” won the best dance/electronic album of the year.
During her speech, the Queen thanked her family, fans, and other LGBTQ artists who inspired and directly contributed to the “Renaissance” album.
“Thank you so much. I’m trying not to be too emotional. I’m trying to just receive this night,” Beyoncé said. “I’d like to thank the queer community for your love and for inventing the genre.”
A total of four songs from “Renaissance” earned Grammy nominations this year, including “Break My Soul” for song and record of the year.
In addition, Beyonce won Grammys for best traditional R&B performance and best electronic dance recording for “Plastic Off the Sofa” and “Break My Soul.” She also won best R&B performance for “Cuff It.“
During her career, Beyoncé has received 88 Grammy nominations, making her the most awarded female performer.
