Smokey Robinson Addresses Freaky Tracklist From Upcoming Album ‘Gasms’: “I Wanted People to be Curious”

Legendary singer and songwriter Smokey Robinson Jr. is addressing the “freaky” tracklist from his upcoming album, Gasms.

Since the singer announced his new album, many of his fans have been interested in knowing the reason behind some of the track titles like “I Wanna Know Your Body,” “Roll Around,” “You Fill Me Up,” and “I Fit In There.

On Sunday, during the Grammy’s, Smokey was asked what motivated him to come up with such a suggestive title.

He said, “I wanted people to be curious. You know?  People will say, ‘I gotta hear that to see what he’s talking about.’ So that’s what the purpose was.”

Smokey was honored at the ceremony, with Stevie Wonder and Chris Stapleton paying homage to Robinson and Motown Records founder Berry Gordy.
