If anyone can get their hands on vintage Chanel, it is Kylie Jenner, and the reality star has breathed new life into a rare find.
On Saturday, the 25-year-old beauty mogul shared stunning new Instagram photos of herself rocking a multicolored high-waisted thong swimsuit. The pink and blue bikini top is covered in stones, while the neon green bikini bottom is decorated identically, shimmering under the sunlight as the mommy of two catches some sun in the poolside photoshoot. The back of the panties sport a bedazzled double-C logo, with fans quickly realizing this was no department store swimwear.
This classic Chanel piece is a rarity, not seen many times in the years since it debuted as part of Chanel’s 1995 spring show, designed by Karl Lagerfeld. However, only the most elite have worn this vibrant piece when it has been spotted. Naomi Campbell famously modeled the pink version of this sparkling bikini during the fashion house’s runway show.
Page Six confirmed that Jenner purchased the swimsuit from God of Cloth, a vintage site specializing in rare designer fashion treasures. The Chanel Rhinestone Black Two-Piece Swimsuit in black and red are still available for $9,950, though Jenner is said to have paid around $10,000 for hers, which is not currently listed on the site.
