Tyrese is being transparent about his current mental state and forthcoming music that will chronicle his messy divorce from his former spouse, Samantha Lee.
The “Sweet Lady” singer spoke exclusively with Kenny Burns on Instagram Live, giving a much-needed update on his life. The chat was long overdue, considering that Burns and Tyrese conducted an in-depth sit-down last year, which was blocked by Lee’s lawyers. Now that their divorce has been finalized, Tyrese is looking forward to people seeing and hearing his side of what went wrong.
“My ex is doing ‘Miracle Mondays’ all over Instagram…taking shots at me every day, called my current girlfriend a Jezebel,’ all kind of sh*t going on,” he explained. The “Fast & Furious” actor hopes people will give him the same grace to tell his story when his full discussion with Burns is unveiled.
Despite breakup talks last year, Tyrese credits his significant other, Zelie Timothy, with allowing him a safe space to record his forthcoming double album, “Beautiful Pain,” which expresses his feelings about his tumultuous relationship with Lee.
The chat with Burns was a welcome relief after fans expressed concern over his Valentine’s Day post. In the lengthy post, Tyrese shared that he was mourning the loss of his mother, who passed away on February 14th, 2022. Additionally, he was dropped by his label on Tuesday, which only further sent him spiraling.
Thankfully, it appears Tyrese was in a positive place when speaking with Burns. As of now, no release date for the full interview and album has been unveiled.
