Woody Harrelson appeared as the host of “Saturday Night Live” over the weekend and made some statements that make you wonder.
The “White Man Can’t Jump” star has made his own conspiracy theories in the past. He said mask-wearing was “absurd” and said he never got COVID because he was “internally clean,” TMZ reported.
So it wasn’t surprising to hear him bring COVID up during the show. At the beginning of his monologue, Harrelson talked about smoking a joint and reading the “craziest script” while sitting in Central Park.
“So the movie goes like this: The biggest drug cartels in the world get together and buy up all the media and all the politicians and force all the people in the world to stay locked in their homes. And people can only come out if they take the cartel’s drugs and keep taking them over and over.”
“I threw the script away. I mean, who was going to believe that crazy idea? Being forced to do drugs? I do that voluntarily all day,” he ended.
But his vaccination rant wasn’t too amusing among some social media users, including TV producer Lee Goldberg, who tweeted: “Thank you, @nbcsnl, for Woody Harrelson’s insipid anti-vax monologue.”
“That’s NOT COOL! I lost the best mother figure to me & my sister that we had who died only 4hrs after contracting the f***ing virus!” another user wrote.
