Michael B. Jordan blasts red carpet reporter for calling him “corny” in a past conversation.
The 36-year-old actor recently spoke to ‘Morning Hustle’ host Lore’l during the Creed III movie premiere. Lore’l spotted Jordan on the red carpet and decided to chat it up with him about filming for the movie and his rumored projects with Will Smith.
Lore’l congratulated the actor on the movie and revealed the two used to attend the same school in Newark, New Jersey. However, Jordan took the opportunity to call out Lore’l for a past comment she made about him while.
“Oh yeah, I was the corny kid, right?” Jordan questioned.
Lore’l laughed off his response and clarified that she was “misquoted.”
“No you did not hear me say that! I said we used to make fun of the name,” she added before quickly changing the subject by saying Jordan is “killing things out here.”
She then began asking Jordan some questions about the directing Creed III and questioned if he was working with Will Smith on a new movie, as the rumor has been floating around on social media.
The brief interview ended with Lore’l telling Jordan, “well you’re not corny anymore.”
The “corny” comment in question stems from a past episode of the “Undressing Room” podcast where hosts Lore’l, Eva Marcille, and Dominique da Diva gave their opinion on Jordan’s valentines day gift to his ex-girlfriend, Lori Harvey. Dominque says she wasn’t surprised by his gift because he gives off “nice, corny guy.”
Lore’l agreed with her co-host’s statement and recalled being in school with him.
“You know what’s so crazy? I went to school with Michael B. Jordan at a point in life,” she said. “… And to be honest with you, we teased him all the damn time because his name was Michael Jordan. Let’s start there, and he was no Michael Jordan. And he also would come to school with a headshot. We lived in Newark, that’s the hood. We would make fun of him like, ‘What you gonna do with your stupid headshot!?’ And now look at him!”
