Numerous nostalgic reboots have been attempted, some of which have succeeded beyond expectations, while others have failed miserably. The latest effort involves transforming the 2001 film ‘The Wash,’ featuring Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre, into a television series.
On Friday, DJ Pooh, writer and director of the movie, tweeted, “It all comes out in ‘The Wash.'” He shared a picture of an orange bucket and a car freshener, both of which had The Wash logo imprinted on them.

This is the latest promotional effort for the upcoming series, which comes after the Los Angeles rapper posted a still from the original movie on Instagram in December 2022.
“Mr Washington, Face & Slim – #TheWash,” he wrote. “The Wash Series Coming Soon!”
‘The Wash’ was released in 2001 and narrates the tale of Snoop and Dre as they struggle to make ends meet and avoid eviction by working as car wash employees. The movie also features an impressive cast, including Eminem, Ludacris, Xzibit, Kurupt, George Wallace, Shaquille O’Neal, and DJ Pooh.
While it remains uncertain if ‘The Wash’ series will premiere in 2023, Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre have announced that their album Missionary will be released this year to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Doggystyle. Last month, the “Gin And Juice” rapper hinted at new music coming out in the summer of 2023 in an Instagram post.
“Dynamic. Duo. Music comin Summer 23,” Snoop wrote.
