Meghan Markle and Prince Harry invited royal family members to watch their daughter Princess Lilibet’s christening in California; however, reports say that they did not attend.
Twenty to 30 people did show up for the intimate gathering, including Markle’s mother Doria Ragland and Lilibet’s godfather, Tyler Perry.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex said: “I can confirm that Princess Lilibet Diana was christened on Friday, March 3 by the bishop in the Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles, the Rev John Taylor.”
The soured relationship between Prince Harry and Markle was documented in Netflix’s Harry & Meghan movie. The film also showed how the two met and what went wrong in the relationship with the royal family.
Their relationships aren’t the best, but Harry has also maintained that he wants his children to have a good relationship with his grandparents.
In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, “I’ve said before that I’ve wanted a family, not an institution—so of course, I would love nothing more than for our children to have relationships with members of my family, and they do with some, which brings me great joy,” Harry said.
