Wells Fargo Customers Report Missing Direct Deposit Checks on Pay Day

Everyone knows Fridays as paydays, but Wells Fargo customers did not receive their paychecks this Friday.

It’s unclear what’s causing the direct deposit issue, but it’s become a big issue. Wells Fargo put on a statement on the subject.

The announcement was put on the online banking app saying, “If you see incorrect balances or missing transactions, this may be due to a technical issue, and we apologize.”

Wells Fargo has been trending on Twitter due to the issue, with most complaints coming from DownDetector, which started Friday morning and has continued through the afternoon.

A Wells Fargo spokesperson told Forbes that the bank knows that direct deposit transactions are not showing up on their accounts.  Not only are direct deposits the problem, but people have also lost money, and some accounts are negative.

Wells Fargo is working on the problem.

It’s been at least 6 hours since Wells Fargo’s “system glitch” & still no resolution .
Surely it’s illegal to withhold a direct deposit from THOUSANDS of people .
