50 Cent reaches a settlement with a Miami medical spa that falsely claimed he had penis enlargement surgery.
According to the rapper, Angela Kogan and Perfection Plastic Surgery & MedSpa, utilized a harmless picture that he had kindly posed for to insinuate that he was a customer. Furthermore, he alleges that they went as far as to suggest that he had undergone a procedure for penis enlargement along with other work.
In a federal court on Friday, lawyers representing 50 and Kogan declared that they had arrived at a “proposed settlement” regarding Mr. Jackson’s allegations. The legal teams further stated that they were currently working on the specifics of a written agreement to conclude and formalize the settlement.
In September, 50 filed a lawsuit against Kogan, claiming that he had taken a photograph with an individual whom he assumed to be a supporter and had not authorized the use of the picture for any type of commercial gain. In addition, he also alleged that Kogan not only shared the photograph on her Instagram account but also orchestrated an article on The Shade Room website implying that she had offered him services for penis enlargement, which he says is untrue.
“Defendants’ actions have exposed Jackson to ridicule, caused substantial damage to his professional and personal reputation, and violated his right to control his name and image,” 50’s lawyers said. “They included social media comments in which users mocked the rapper, including one that “crudely” said the rapper should be called “50 inch.”
Kogan previously denied the allegations and attempted to have the case thrown out. However, the request was ultimately rejected in December by Judge Robert N. Scola.
