Judge Greg Mathis responds to 50 Cent backlash against his former girlfriend, Vivica A. Fox, regarding her forthcoming movie, “The First Lady of BMF: The Tonesa Welch Story.”
On Friday, Mathis posted an Instagram reel inquiring as to why 50 has been disapproving of the biographical film, which Fox will direct.
“You my guy,” Mathis said. “Let Tonesa eat! The first lady of BMF. You know, I know Lala’s doing a hell of a job but y’all haven’t fed Toni.”
He continued, “I’m from Detroit, and they’re from Detroit. That’s how I’m involved. These are Detroiters, man. We cut from the same cloth. I respect you, man. I respect your work. Now, let us get some money.”
The film is anticipated to debut on BET+ later this year. In addition, Mathis will serve as the executive producer for the movie, will depict Welch’s journey from teenage motherhood to drug trafficking and being recognized by federal prosecutors as The First Lady of BMF.
After learning of the project, 50, whose own BMF series on STARZ Network, recently went on Instagram to criticize his ex for invading on his business.
“This should say 263 not BMF, @southwest263” he wrote.“What the fvck is this man! Vivica ugh, So your not gonna ever leave me alone hun? and what the fvck is judge Mathis doing in this mix[.] I’m done, I’m done with all of you ni66as. LOL.”
