Friends close to Wendy Williams are not too convinced about the “new company” the former talk show host is keeping around her.
Sources tell PageSix that “Wendy does not have many real friends, but the few that are coming around are causing some concern for the people that do truly care about her.”
They added, “The real concern is when she has people over her house. She has jewelry and designer purses laying around.”
Just recently, it was reported that Wendy has plans to sell a few of her personal items in her NYC penthouse so she could move to LA.
“Wendy is not in the best state of mind so unfortunately people will take advantage of that,” the source explained.
After relapsing with alcohol and experiencing other health difficulties, Williams spent two months receiving therapy at a rehab facility last year.
But according to reports, Wendy has been drinking again to celebrate her “new lease on life.”
However, an insider insists that “Wendy is really lonely right now and that combination — plus her major bankroll — is not a good combination. Everyone is not coming to the table with good intentions. Back in the day this many people would have never be around her, much less coming over to her home.”
