Subway has partnered with Cadbury Creme Eggs to release a limited-edition sandwich.
On Friday, Subway and Cadbury collaborated together to give away free “SubMelts” sandwiches comprising melted Cadbury Creme Eggs to 500 individuals at four locations throughout the United Kingdom.
“Our Italian White Bread and Cadbury Creme Eggs make the most flavorsome combination, a perfect seasonal treat,” Rusty Warren, Subway’s senior manager of new product development and innovation, said.
Cadbury Creme Eggs brand executive, Charlotte Docker added, “When Subway approached us to create this eggs-traordinary Submelt, we simply couldn’t resist. The highly-anticipated Creme Egg season is in full swing and we’re so excited to launch this innovative product with Subway as a final hoorah of the season.”
Nevertheless, some critics have already expressed disapproval for the new item, calling it “utterly revolting,” while others have anticipated its arrival.
