Amanda Bynes Remains In Mental Facility After Being Found Wandering Naked In L.A.

It has been almost three weeks since Amanda Bynes was found wandering the streets of Los Angeles without clothes. But according to reports, she is still under care in a mental health facility.

According to TMZ, the facility where the actress receives care has not forced her to remain there, even though she was placed on a psychiatric hold last month. Insiders close to the situation says Bynes shared with the outlet that she doesn’t believe she’s ready to depart from the facility, and it’s still uncertain when she will be discharged.

“Those around her are already formulating a plan to make sure she stays on the right path,” the report read.

Sources also says the medical personnel responsible for Bynes’ care have been evaluating her stay on a weekly basis, and when she eventually leaves, she plans to participate in an outpatient mental health treatment program. Recent reports indicate that Bynes’ 5150 hold was prolonged for an extra week because she was fully committed to her recovery and making significant progress.

Prior to calling the police on herself due to a mental breakdown, Bynes, who had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder in the past, may have been homeless and wandering for several days. Her car was towed in Long Beach, California, over 40 miles away from her residence, four days before she was discovered. Additionally, her vehicle was found 15 miles away from where law enforcement later found her in downtown Los Angeles.

Nevertheless, Bynes’ former fiancé Paul Michael, says she had discontinued taking her medication before the psychiatric incident.
