Two Alabama Teenagers Killed In Car Crash After Leaving Prom

The Tuscaloosa police confirmed the death of two teenagers killed in a car accident after attending the Paul W. Bryant High School prom together.

A family member of one of the teens, Samuel Brown, 18 confirmed he and Madison Sims 17, were the victims of the fatal accident and a Facebook post by the Perry County school system also identified the teens.

Police were dispatched to reports of a car crash around 1:50 a.m. that involved a Tesla and a semi-truck at the intersection.

The Tesla was pinned underneath the truck’s trailer with four people trapped inside.  Sims, the driver, and Brown, the front-seat passenger, were pronounced dead at the scene.

An 18-year-old female from Montgomery was transported to UAB with serious injuries, and a 17-year-old female from Marion was transported to DCH with minor injuries, CBS 42 reported.

Brown, 18, attended R.C. Hatch High School in Uniontown in Perry County. He played football for R.C. Hatch. “To say we will miss him would be an understatement,” Hatch High School posted on Facebook.

Madison Sims, 17, attended Bryant High School in Cottondale and was a member of the track team.

“We extend our most sincere condolences to the Brown and Sims family,” the Perry County school district post read. “We ask that you please keep everyone in your thoughts and prayers as we navigate the days ahead together.”
