Coachella Weekend 2 attendees excited to see Frank Ocean‘s headlining performance might be left disappointed as the artist just pulled out due to an ankle injury.
The statement concludes with a message from the “Novacane” crooner.
“‘It was chaotic. There is some beauty in chaos. It isn’t what I intended to show but I did enjoy being out there and I’ll see you soon.’ — Frank Ocean.”
This news comes after Ocean took the public stage for the first time since 2017 last Sunday during Weekend 1 of the festival. His highly anticipated set was met with mixed reviews and disappointment from fans after it started an hour late, some songs weren’t performed live, and instead, vocal tracks played as he move around the stage. Fans also reported that he and the band were obscured by people walking around him on stage.
It was later revealed that Ocean injured his ankle the week leading up to the show which forced some last-minute set changes.
Blink 182 will reportedly take over the headlining slot.
