Rapper Desiigner seems to be experiencing some mental health issues that has spilled over into the public eye.
On Thursday, the rapper was busted for allegedly exposing himself during a flight. According to TMZ, the “Panda” star was headed back from an international trip in Thailand and Tokyo when the explicit act took place. A flight attendant reportedly called him out and when the plane landed in Minneapolis, police took him into custody. After speaking with him, the 25-year-old was released. It’s unclear if charges are being filed.
A source told the publication that the MC had fallen ill while overseas and was prescribed some sort of medication that may has affected his mind. However, the rapper took to his Instagram to offer his own explanation of events. In the post, he admitted that he’d been struggling with his mental health recently.
“For the past few months I have not been ok. And I have been struggling to come to terms with what is going on,” he wrote. He told fans that while on his trip, he was admitted to a hospital and “was not thinking clearly.” The former G.O.O.D. Music signee told his followers that he was preparing to get help for his crisis and is ashamed of what took place.
“Please pray for me. If you’re not feeling like yourself, please get help,” he concluded.
It’s unsure exactly what psychological illness he may be suffering from, but one can only applaud him for acknowledging that there is an issue.
