“Dancing With The Stars” judge Len Goodman has passed away at the age of 78.
According to the British Broadcasting Corporation, Goodman died on Saturday at a hospice center in Kent, England, following a struggle with bone cancer. On Monday, his manager Jackie Gill shared a statement announcing his passing, expressing that he was a dearly loved husband, father, and grandfather who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
For seventeen years, the former professional ballroom dancer acted as a judge on “DWTS” from 2005 to 2022. He was appointed as the head judge in the first season of the show. Additionally, from 2004 to 2016, he held the position of the chief judge on the British version of the program titled “Strictly Come Dancing.”
After the unfortunate news was revealed, some of Goodman’s family and peers shared warm memories they had with the former dancer. BBC Director-General Tim Davie remembered Goodman as a person who “appealed to all ages and felt like a member of everyone’s family.”
